A black tee carrying a full airbrush night scene, a wolf head rendered in blue and grey looming over a column of bikers riding straight at the viewer, headlights burning, a full moon and a fork of lightning behind. SURVIVORS sits across the bottom in chrome effect lettering with a heavy drop shadow.
Biker fantasy art was its own industry through the eighties and nineties, sold from rally stalls and roadside shops rather than record stores. Wolves, eagles, lightning and chrome lettering were the fixed vocabulary, airbrushed by jobbing artists and screen printed in small runs. The genre has been rediscovered wholesale by a generation that never rode anything.
