2000S DJ SCREW "LEANIN ON A SWITCH" CLASSICS TEE

A black tee built around a stack of cassette tapes printed in high contrast white, the central one reading DJ Screw, side A, LEANIN ON A SWITCH, with smaller cassettes tiled above and below it, each carrying its own title. CLASSICS runs across the base in chrome effect lettering with a small Texas outline set beside it.
DJ Screw invented chopped and screwed in Houston in the early nineties, slowing records down and cutting them into something narcotic and unmistakably regional. He sold Screwtapes from his house to queues that ran down the block, and died in 2000 at twenty nine. His catalogue is the foundation of an entire southern rap aesthetic.
