2000S EMP "HEADBANGER" MAIL ORDER TEE
2000S EMP "HEADBANGER" MAIL ORDER TEE
Couldn't load pickup availability
A black tee fronted by a cartoon headbanger, long blonde hair thrown forward, both hands throwing horns, set against a grid of six speaker cones that frame him like a wall of amplification. The palette is cream, red and white on black. WWW.EMP.DE runs down the right sleeve in white block caps and a small EMP roundel sits high on the back.
EMP is Germany's largest metal and rock mail order house, founded in Lingen in 1986 and built on thick catalogues posted to bedrooms across Europe. Their own branded tees were given away with orders rather than sold, which is why they turn up worn to death and rarely in shops. Catalogue merch is a quiet corner of band tee collecting, made in volume but never really bought.
