Black crew neck tee with a large white front print of a heraldic shield holding comedy and tragedy masks across a diagonal band marked EJF and SSF. FOLGER LIBRARY arches above in a Celtic style hand, with STUDENT SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL stacked below. The back carries a white engraved style illustration of Shakespeare leaning over a stack of Washington Post front pages, with crowned busts at the base.
The Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC opened in 1932 and holds the largest Shakespeare collection in the world. Its Student Shakespeare Festival gives school groups a stage to perform the plays, and the EJF initials on the shield honour Emily Jordan Folger, who co founded the library with her husband Henry. Shirts like this were made for participants and staff, so they carry real institutional history. The theatre masks and old English lettering make it an easy pick for anyone into academia or stage culture.
