The Screaming Hand was drawn by Jim Phillips in 1985 and became the signature of Santa Cruz Skateboards, founded in California in 1973. Phillips's hand has been printed on decks, tees and posters for decades and is one of the most recognisable images in skateboarding. It stays in rotation because the graphic reads instantly.
